Third party liability
The legally required base cover
Every vehicle with a Dutch registration must at least carry third party liability cover. It pays for the damage you cause to others with your vehicle.

- Damage to others covered

- Arranged fully online
What falls under liability cover?
Property damage
Damage to another party vehicle or property is paid up to the insured amount.
Injury claims
Injury to third parties and passengers falls under the compulsory liability cover.
Not your own damage
Damage to your own vehicle is not covered. For that you choose limited or comprehensive cover.

Good to know
When is liability cover enough?
For an older vehicle with a low market value, liability only is often the most logical choice.
Do I build no-claim years on liability cover?
Yes. Even with liability only you build no-claim years that lower your premium each year.
